Comme des Garçons has developed a commemorative fragrance for Condé Nast’s iconic magazine.

NORTH AMERICA–Condé Nast has teamed up with Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Vogue Magazine.

Comme des Garçons has developed a limited-edition fragrance inspired by the magazine’s history. Named, Vogue 125, the first-ever Vogue fragrance features notes of accord on instant film, a scent found at fashion shoots; acetyl furan to mimic the scent of tobacco; an aroma that used to fill the Vogue offices and the salons where editors reviewed collections; Lily of the Valley, a favorite of founding publisher of Condé Nast; and fresh ink to celebrate the publication’s first printing press. Additional notes include Cashmeran wood, Haitian vetiver, and leather, that mimic the gloves former fashion director Babs Simpson ordered her team wear at the Vogue office in the 1960s.

Condé Nast has tapped a number of brands to help celebrate Vogue’s 125th year including Pressed Juicery, Karl Lagerfeld, Birchbox, Soludos, Marni, Hood by Air, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, Splendid, Jackson & Perkins, Kith and Del Toro.

Vogue 125 is available now at Dover Street Market New York, Comme des Garçons Chelsea, Comme des Garçons Pocket Shop and the Dover Street Market New York e-shop, shop.vogue.com and prestige perfumeries and department stores.
